About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog and website!  Here, you will find work from my Master's program, pictures from my classroom and student projects, reflections of my teaching experience, and highly successful lesson plans from the last three years of my teaching experience. I also have my professional development experience as well as other projects that I have been working on while pursing my career as a professional educator.

A little about me: I graduated with my Master's in Arts in Teaching (affectionately called MAT) in 2011 from the College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Nebraska. I always knew that I wanted to leave Nebraska for somewhere warmer, so after graduation, I had an opportunity to teach for a learning/tutoring center in Encinitas, California. I packed up my little Honda Civic and made my way across country!

Since moving to the San Diego area, I have had many adventures such as training horses, working in some crazy jobs, and getting married and starting a family. I have worked as a substitute teacher, I worked for a small Catholic School, and have had the pleasure of being the high school English at Julian Charter School. I am hoping to continue with Julian Charter School for many years to come.
